Melissa Camouse, DO

Dr. Melissa Camouse is a board-certified dermatologist who provides comprehensive care of the skin to patients of all ages. She received her dermatologic training from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to her residency training, she also completed a research fellowship in cutaneous photobiology at Case Western. There, she focused on the effects of ultraviolet radiation on human skin. She published numerous articles on this subject and researched topical antioxidant serums and sunscreens in conjunction with Neutrogena, Estée Lauder, Clinique, and Origins. Her expertise in these areas has proved to be a valuable asset to practicing dermatology in sunny southern California.

Dr. Camouse is thrilled to be collaborating with her highly respected colleagues to create El Segundo Dermatology. Her practice will include medical and surgical dermatology as well as cutting-edge technologies in cosmetic dermatology to provide natural appearing results.

She resides in the South Bay with her husband, Dr. Ke, and three children. A native Midwesterner, Dr. Camouse enjoys the year-round temperate weather and promotes healthy sun habits to protect the skin without compromising a healthy outdoor lifestyle. She is passionate about skin cancer prevention and early detection through patient education and regular skin exams.

Jill Javahery, MD

Dr. Javahery's practice encompasses adult, pediatric, surgical and cosmetic dermatology and the use of lasers for both medical and cosmetic purposes. She is passionate in her advocacy for the awareness of the dangers of skin cancer and the relative ease of treatment when diagnosed early.

Although Dr. Javahery's primary focus remains on the treatment of diseases of the skin, she also realizes the value in maintaining and improving healthy skin. She utilizes all the modern technologies including fillers, collagen stimulators and lasers to achieve the optimal results for her patients. She tailors her approach to meet each individual patient's needs.

Dr. Jill Javahery is married to Dr. Ramin Javahery, a pediatric neurosurgeon. Together, they have three sons. Dr. Javahery is thrilled to be opening a new dermatology practice in the South Bay, where they reside.

Ashley Magovern is a board-certified dermatologist who earned her M.D. from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She completed her medical internship at Stanford University, and her dermatology residency at the University of Illinois, Chicago, where she was elected to serve as chief resident. She spent two years in the dermatology department at UC San Francisco conducting skin research, and completed a one-year fellowship at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, working with a leader in pediatric dermatology. Before opening her other private practice in Manhattan Beach, CA, she worked alongside world-renowned dermatologist Howard Murad at the Murad Inclusive Health Medical Group. Dr. Magovern is also the author of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles.

In addition to treating her Manhattan Dermatology patients with skill and a smile, Dr. Magovern is thrilled to serve as the medical director of DermStore.com, where she uses her exceptional knowledge of skin care products to help people choose their perfect, personal skin care regimen. She regularly contributes to online articles, gives insight into skin conditions, and provides comprehensive, non-biased reviews. Deeply passionate about skin care, Dr. Magovern's ultimate goal is to help you feel confident in your skin.

Raised right here in El Segundo, Dr. Magovern had always dreamed of opening another dermatology practice to serve the skin care needs of her very own community. Today she lives in the South Bay with her husband, an orthopaedic surgeon whom she met in medical school, and her two daughters.

Malcolm Ke, MD

Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Ke received his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School and completed his internship in general surgery at the University of California, San Francisco East Bay Program. Prior to starting his dermatology residency, he received a National Institutes of Health Research Scientist Award to study cutaneous lymphoma and photodynamic therapy at Case Western Reserve University, where he completed research fellowships...

Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Ke received his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School and completed his internship in general surgery at the University of California, San Francisco East Bay Program. Prior to starting his dermatology residency, he received a National Institutes of Health Research Scientist Award to study cutaneous lymphoma and photodynamic therapy at Case Western Reserve University, where he completed research fellowships in both Investigative and Molecular Dermatology as well as Cutaneous Oncology with an emphasis in melanoma and lymphoma. He then completed his dermatology residency at Case Western Reserve University. A Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Ke also completed a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Lasers, and Cosmetic Dermatology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a Fellow in the American College of Mohs Surgery and performs over 1500 cases annually.

Before moving back to California, Dr. Ke served as the Director of the Skin Surgery, Laser, and Aesthetic Center of Case Western Reserve University. Currently an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Ke enjoys volunteering at the VA teaching the principles of Mohs surgery and advanced facial reconstruction to the dermatology residents and fellows.

Dr. Ke also serves on several scientific advisory boards for new cancer and laser therapies and on the editorial board for Dermatologic Surgery, the official publication for the American College of Mohs Surgery, and the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy, the official publication of the International Society of Cutaneous and Laser Surgery.

Dr. Ke resides in the south bay with his wife, Dr. Camouse, and their three children. He enjoys spending quality time with his family including going to the beach, playing tennis, golf, and guitar, and enjoying good food!

Claudia Cardarelli, Aesthetician

Claudia Cardarelli has been an aesthetician for over 20 years. She has practiced from coast to coast, including, Beverly Hills, Boston and New York. She brings her wealth of experience, knowledge & passion for skin health to our El Segundo community. Throughout Claudia’s career, she has focused on staying current and educated in all modern technologies available to her including, facials, microdermabraisons, ultrasound & radiofrequency skin tightening, hair removal, and laser skin rejuvenation. Claudia understands that skin health radiates from the inside out. She enjoys living a healthy lifestyle and spends her free time jogging and hiking with her two lovely daughters. We are thrilled that Claudia has joined our El Segundo Dermatology family and know that she will become a cherished member of our community.

Christina L. Beck is a board certified physician assistant. A native of Connecticut, she received her undergraduate degree in Pre-Physician Assistant Studies at James Madison University in Virginia. Treating patients in a Santa Monica dermatology practice for the last three years, she hoped to one day work closer to home. As a resident of the South Bay, she is thrilled to be joining the El Segundo Dermatology team.A member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, she was awarded diplomate status in 2012. Christina has been a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants since 2007. She treats medical dermatology conditions such as acne, skin cancer, psoriasis, rosacea, seborrheic keratoses and rashes. She is skilled at performing skin biopsies, cryosurgery, as well as full excisions. Christina is experienced with various cosmetic laser treatments, peels and injectables.When not at the office, Christina enjoys being active and outdoors. She loves to ski and snowboard, takes advantage of the ocean to swim or paddle board, and practices yoga.

James Wang, MD, MBA

Dr. James Y. Wang is a double board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist who was born in tropical Taipei, but was raised in snowy Rochester, New York. He earned his M.D. degree from Harvard Medical School and his M.B.A. in Management and Healthcare Policy from Harvard Business School. From Boston, he came to southern California to complete dermatology training at the University of California, Los Angeles. His interest in the microscopic diagnosis of skin cancers and other conditions led him back to the east coast to complete a clinical fellowship in dermatopathology at the renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and NY-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.

In addition to his current practice of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Wang serves as the CEO and co-founder of CureBiotech, an early-stage biotechnology firm that develops novel therapeutics for skin cancers, vitiligo, psoriasis, and hair loss.

Dr. Wang loves the warm weather and friendly people of southern California. He currently resides in West Hollywood, but is thrilled to be joining the South Bay community. He enjoys good food, international travel, golf, chamber music, entrepreneurship, and novel ideas. In addition to English, he speaks Mandarin Chinese.
