Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is used for the treatment of leg veins and is a relatively simple procedure performed by injecting Asclera (polidocanol) solution into the vein, causing the vein to collapse. The byproducts are then naturally resorbed by the body. The leg is wrapped with an elastic wrap that must be worn for at least 24 hours. Compression hose are usually recommended for 1 week, sometimes longer. Most patients can expect a 60-90% improvement.
