Skin Cancer Screenings
We recommend annual skin cancer screenings for almost everyone. Essentially all skin cancer can be cured if detected early, and an annual skin cancer screening is the best way to find them at this early stage. Patients with a skin cancer history usually require screening every 3 to 6 months. We are proud to say that of the many patients we have screened over more than a decade, not one of them who has come in for regular skin cancer screenings has ever been diagnosed with a metastatic skin cancer. Skin cancer screenings are truly life saving! Don’t be shy—make your appointment today!
Precancerous Lesions
Precancerous lesions usually show up as persistent scaly spots on the skin in areas that are most frequently exposed to the sun over the years, like the face, ears, scalp and forearms. It’s important to treat these areas to help prevent the progression to skin cancer. We usually “freeze” these spots, but we also love photodynamic therapy (PDT) for more diffuse areas. Our patients love it, too!
Acne / Rosacea
We have so many great ways to treat acne and acne rosacea today, and find it particularly rewarding to help patients with acne. It’s what we do. Your plan may include prescription medications, combined with optional laser, light, and peel treatments, and even supplements.
Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a genetic, chronic inflammatory condition that can be really stressful and is known to affect the quality of life of the people that suffer with it. The good news is that we have made great strides in treating psoriasis and we can effectively treat even the most severe cases. Every psoriasis patient needs a good relationship with a dermatologist!
Melasma
Melasma is a complicated chronic disease that needs to be managed very differently than pigmentation that comes from sun damage. We can help you understand and manage your melasma through lifestyle changes, products, peels and supplements.
Warts
Warts are so common it almost seems like a right of passage. Don’t despair, they can be treated! Although they are a pain to have, we have many options for treatment—including painless options for the kiddos—so schedule an appointment today!
Cysts
Cysts cannot be squeezed out! Please avoid the temptation to pop these...they need to be removed in their entirety or left alone. Embrace them, or do it right by scheduling an appointment for removal!
Eczema
Anybody who has eczema knows that although this disease isn’t life threatening, it truly is difficult to live with. You don’t have to suffer! Eczema is manageable with the right tools. Book a consultation with one of our board-certified dermatologists, or highly experienced physician assistants, and learn to love your skin again!
Hair & Nail Disorders
Most people know that dermatologists are experts in skin but did you also know we specialize in hair and nails? Hair and nail disorders can be complex and multifaceted. Our job is to help identify underlying problems that lead to these disorders. From hair loss to nail fungus, we have many more modalities than ever before to treat these diseases.
Vitiligo
Vitiligo is a pigmentary disorder that affects patients of all ages and skin types. It can have a significant psychological impact, especially in skin of color. Although it is not life-threatening, it can be life-altering. For most patients, vitiligo is a chronic disease that requires not only treatment but also support and coping strategies. A strong relationship with your dermatologist is imperative. We are here to help educate, treat and provide resources for support.
Hyperhidrosis
Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis) is an embarrassing yet common condition that we treat in dermatology. It's a typically harmless condition with many treatment options. We usually start with a trial of a prescription topical solution that is applied at night, which can really help some patients. For those with more resistant sweating, treatment with neuromodulators such as Botox can be used. This is successful in most cases, with results lasting 6 months to one year. Iontophoresis is another effective at-home treatment option. Make an appointment to learn what the best treatment is for you. We enjoy seeing pediatric patients, and specialize in acne, warts, molluscum, eczema, birthmarks and other rashes. Schedule an appointment for your child today!
